Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited Act Commencement Order 1994

This order is administered in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

PURSUANT to section 1(3) of the Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited Act 1994, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title

  • This Order may be cited as the Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited Act Commencement Order 1994.

2 Commencement of sections 4 to 12 of Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited Act 1994

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 16 May 1994, sections 4 to 12 of the Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited Act 1994. The effect of the order is that on that date—

  • (a) The undertaking of United Bank Limited is transferred to Countrywide Banking Corporation Limited; and

  • (b) United Bank Limited is dissolved.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
