PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Radio New Zealand Act (No 2) 1995, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force, on 5 July 1996, the Radio New Zealand Act (No 2) 1995. That Act relates to the State enterprise called The Radio Company Limited, established to hold the commercial operations of Radio New Zealand. The Act removes The Radio Company Limited from the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986, the Ombudsmen Act 1975, the Official Information Act 1982, and other legislation.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
