PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Racing Amendment Act 1995, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Racing Amendment Act Commencement Order 1996.
2 Commencement of sections 19, 24, 37, 39, and 44 of VRacing Amendment Act 1995
Sections 19, 24, 37, 39, and 44 of the Racing Amendment Act 1995 shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1996.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 1 April 1996, sections 19, 24, 37, 39, and 44 of the Racing Amendment Act 1995. Those sections establish a new racing judicial system. The components of the new system are a judicial Control Authority, Judicial Committees, and Appeals Tribunals.
