State-Owned Enterprises (Transpower New Zealand Limited) Order 1997
Note
PURSUANT to section 30A of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting—
(a) by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council; and
-
(b) on the recommendation of the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (that Minister being satisfied—
(i) that the name of the State enterprise known as Trans Power New Zealand Limited has been changed to Transpower New Zealand Limited; and
(ii) that a certificate of incorporation recording that change of name and dated 18 April 1997 has been issued to that State enterprise under section 23(3)(b) of the Companies Act 1993),—
makes the following order.

Order
1 Title and commencement
-
(1) This order may be cited as the State-Owned Enterprises (Transpower New Zealand Limited) Order 1997.
(2) This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
2 Amendment to State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986
The State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986 is amended by omitting from Schedule 1, and also from Schedule 2, the words
“Trans Power New Zealand Limited”
(as inserted by clauses 2 and 3 of the State-Owned Enterprises Order 1994), and substituting in each case the words“Transpower New Zealand Limited”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order amends a number of enactments by changing references from Trans Power New Zealand Limited to Transpower New Zealand Limited to reflect a recent change in the name of that State enterprise.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 20 November 1997.
