This order is administered by the Ministry of Education.
PURSUANT to section 1(3) of the Education Amendment Act (No 2) 1998, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Education Amendment Act (No 2) 1998 Commencement Order 1999.
2 Commencement of sections 7 and 64 of the Education Amendment Act (No 2) 1998
Sections 7 and 64 of the Education Amendment Act (No 2) 1998 come into force on 12 July 1999.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 12 July 1999, sections 7 and 64 of the Education Amendment Act (No 2) 1998. These sections deal with the standing-down, suspension, exclusion, and expulsion of students.
