This notice is administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.

PURSUANT to section 313 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the chief executive of the Ministry of Fisheries by this notice, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, revokes the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice 19981.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice revokes the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice 1998, which imposed a ban on commercial fishing in certain areas of the Southern Scallop Fishery.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

Date of notification in Gazette: 26 August 1999.
