  • Regulations Revocation Order 1999: revoked, on 6 November 2008, by clause 3 of the Regulations Revocation Order 2008 (SR 2008/367).

PURSUANT to section 16 of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title and commencement

  • (1) This order may be cited as the Regulations Revocation Order 1999.

    (2) This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, revokes spent regulations. Some of the revoked regulations were administered in the Ministry of Commerce and others in the Department of Labour. The revocations are part of the Government's Bright Future Package, which includes a regulatory stocktake to identify and remove redundant legislation.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

Date of notification in Gazette: 18 November 1999.
