“Kaikoura-North Canterbury Area means all that area of New Zealand fisheries waters enclosed by a line commencing at a point 42°10.0'S and 176° 00.0'E; then proceeding south along the 176° 00.0'E line of longitude to latitude 43° 23.62'S; then proceeding west along the 43° 23.62'S line of latitude to the mean high-water mark of the east coast of the South Island (approximately 172° 42.43'E, near the south bank of the Waimakariri River); then proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction along the mean high-water mark of the South Island to latitude 42° 10.0'S (approximately 173° 56.5'E, near Clarence Point); then proceeding east along the 42° 10.0'S line of latitude until reaching the point of commencement”

• “(3A) No person may, on any day,-—

  • “(a) take from the Kaikoura-North Canterbury Area more than 10 blue cod; or

  • “(b) possess more than 10 blue cod in that area; or

  • “(c) possess more than 10 blue cod taken from within that area.”
