This order, which comes into force on 5 April 2018, revokes the United Nations Sanctions (Liberia) Regulations 2001. Those regulations imposed prohibitions relating to certain transactions with Liberia (including transactions with certain persons and entities) following various United Nations Security Council resolutions, including—

• resolution 1343 (2001), adopted on 7 March 2001; and

• resolution 1521 (2003), adopted on 22 December 2003; and

• resolution 1532 (2004), adopted on 12 March 2004; and

• resolution 1903 (2009), adopted on 17 December 2009.

This order, terminating sanctions imposed on Liberia under relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, gives effect to—

• resolution 2237 (2015), adopted on 2 September 2015; and

• resolution 2288 (2016), adopted on 25 May 2016.

This order is revoked on 3 May 2018.
