Fisheries (Recordkeeping) Amendment Regulations 2001

Note

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.

Pursuant to section 89(1) of the Fisheries Act 1983 and section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
2 Commencement

  • These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Records to be kept by dealers in fish

  • Regulation 6 of the principal regulations is amended by adding, as subclause (2), the following subclause:

    • “(2) Records that are required to be kept in accordance with this regulation must be completed at the time the dealer in fish acquires, purchases, or disposes of the fish, as the case may be.”

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, amend regulation 6 of the Fisheries (Recordkeeping) Regulations 1990 by requiring dealers in fish to complete the records required to be kept by that regulation at the time the dealer acquires, purchases, or disposes of the fish
