Securities Act (Amendments to Exemption Notices Affecting Australian Issuers) Exemption Notice 2001: expired, on 1 January 2005, pursuant to clause 1(3) of the Securities Act (OM-IP Companies) Exemption Notice 1999 (SR 1999/426).

1 Title
This notice is the Securities Act (Amendments to Exemption Notices Affecting Australian Issuers) Exemption Notice 2001.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Amendments to notices affecting Australian issuers
The notices specified in the Schedule are amended in the manner indicated in that schedule.
4 Revocations
The following notices are revoked:
(a) Securities Act (AMP Insurance Investment Holdings Pty Limited) Exemption Notice 1999 (SR 1999/388):
(b) Securities Act (Australian Mutual Provident Society) Exemption Notice 1997 (SR 1997/150):
(c) Securities Act (Barkworth Olive Groves Limited and Others) Exemption Notice 2000 (SR 2000/203):
(d) Securities Act (Telstra Share Offer) Exemption Notice 1997 (SR 1997/294):
(e) Securities Act (The Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited) Exemption Notice 1997 (SR 1997/259).

Revoke the definition of specified State in clause 2(1).
Revoke clause 4(c)(ii) and substitute the following subparagraph:
“(ii) copies of any documents that, under the laws of Australia, must accompany any copy of the Australian prospectus sent to any person to whom an offer of the equity securities is made in Australia.”
Omit from clause 5(b)(ii) the words “Corporations Law”
and substitute the expression “Corporations Act 2001”

Omit from clause 6(a)(i) the words “law of the specified State concerned”
and substitute the words “laws of Australia”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
The notice changes references in a number of exemption notices following the enactment of the Corporations Act 2001 by the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Under section 1399 of the Corporations Act 2001, a thing that was done before the commencement of that Act by, under, or for the purposes of certain Australian legislation and that has ongoing significance, will have effect as if it were done by, under, or for the purposes of the Corporations Act 2001.
