Pursuant to section 4 of the Penal Institutions Act 1954, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

1 Title
This notice is the Penal Institutions (Cook Street (Auckland Central) Police Jail) Notice 2001.
2 Commencement
This notice takes effect from 19 December 2001.
3 Cook Street (Auckland Central) Police Jail
The land described in the Schedule is a Police jail, to be known as the Cook Street (Auckland Central) Police Jail.
4 Revocation
Amendment(s) incorporated in the notice(s).
Schedule Cook Street (Auckland Central) Police Jail
All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 4580 square metres, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 190295, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title No. 120D/209, North Auckland Registry.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which takes effect from 19 December 2001, is made under the Penal Institutions Act 1954. It declares the land described in the Schedule to be a Police jail, to be known as Cook Street (Auckland Central) Police Jail. The land is at the corner of Cook Street and Vincent Street in the City of Auckland. It is used for the purposes of, and has on it 1 or more buildings known as, the Auckland Central Police Station.
This notice revokes and replaces part of a previous notice that declared the Auckland Central Police Station to be a Police jail.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
