Pursuant to section 13 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries, after having regard to the matters specified in that section, gives the following notice.

  • This notice comes into force on 1 April 2001.

3 Schedule amended

  • The Schedule of the principal notice is amended by omitting from the final column the expression “20 000”, and substituting the expression “30 000”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 1 April 2001, amends the Fisheries (Southern Blue Whiting Total Allowable Catch) Notice 2000. The amendment increases the total allowable catch for southern blue whiting in quota management area 6I (Campbell Rise) from 20 000 tonnes to 30 000 tonnes.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
