These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to sections 81D and 81H of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Food Safety, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (Fees and Charges) Amendment Regulations 2009.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2009.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2002.
4 Interpretation
Regulation 3 is amended by inserting the following definition in its appropriate alphabetical order:
Director-General has the same meaning as in the Act
5 New regulation 4A inserted
The following regulation is inserted after regulation 4:
4A Director-General may grant exemption, waiver, or refund
The Director-General may grant an exemption from, or waive or refund, any fee or charge specified in these regulations, in whole or in part, in any particular case or class of cases.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2009, amend the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (Fees and Charges) Regulations 2002, which provide for the payment of fees and charges in respect of matters under the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines 1997.
New regulation 4A provides that the Director-General may grant an exemption from, or waive or refund, any fee or charge payable under regulations, in whole or in part, in any particular case or class of cases.
