Finance Act Commencement Order 2002

Finance Act Commencement Order 2002: revoked, on 3 June 2017, pursuant to section 3(1) of the Statutes Repeal Act 2017 (2017 No 23).

This order is administered in the Treasury.

Pursuant to section 6(1), (3), and (4) of the Finance Act (No 2) 1988, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, and being satisfied, at the time of the making of this order, that at least 50% of the ordinary shares in the capital of Government Property Services Limited and Crown Forestry Management Limited are no longer held on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, makes the following order.

1 Title

This order is the Finance Act Commencement Order 2002.

2 Commencement

Sections 15, 16, 21, and 22 of the Finance Act (No 2) 1988 come into force on 1 January 2003.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force sections 15, 16, 21, and 22 of the Finance Act (No 2) 1988.

Sections 15 and 16 omit the name of Government Property Services Limited from the First Schedule of the Official Information Act 1982 and Part II of the First Schedule of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. That company, which has ceased to exist, will no longer be an organisation to which the Official Information Act 1982 or the Ombudsmen Act 1975 applies.

Sections 21 and 22 omit the name of Crown Forestry Management Limited from the First Schedule of the Official Information Act 1982 and Part II of the First Schedule of the Ombudsmen Act 1975. That company has ceased to exist.
