Family Proceedings (Counselling Organisation) Notice 2004: revoked, on 31 March 2014, pursuant to section 5 of the Family Proceedings Amendment Act (No 2) 2013 (2013 No 80).

Pursuant to section 5 of the Family Proceedings Act 1980, the Minister of Justice gives the following notice.
Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Family Proceedings (Counselling Organisation) Notice 2004.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on 1 July 2004.
3 Approved counselling organisation
The organisation known as Relationship Services Incorporated is approved as a counselling organisation for the purposes of the Family Proceedings Act 1980.
4 Revocation
The Family Proceedings (Marriage Guidance Organisations) Notice 1981 (SR 1981/264) is revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 1 July 2004, approves the organisation known as Relationship Services Incorporated as a counselling organisation for the purposes of the Family Proceedings Act 1980. An approved counselling organisation may nominate counsellors for family proceedings.
The notice also revokes the Family Proceedings (Marriage Guidance Organisations) Notice 1981. As a result, Relationship Services Incorporated will be the only organisation able to nominate counsellors for family proceedings.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the Family Proceedings (Counselling Organisation) Notice 2004 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
Section 78 of the Legislation Act 2019 provides that this consolidation, published as an electronic version, is an official version. A printed version of legislation that is produced directly from this official electronic version is also an official version.
