This order is administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.

Pursuant to section 77(1) of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

  • This order comes into force on 1 October 2004.

3 Over-fishing threshold for North Island long-finned and short-finned freshwater eel

  • The Schedule of the principal order is amended by omitting the items relating to long-finned freshwater eel, and short-finned freshwater eel, and substituting, respectively, the following items:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 October 2004, amends the Fisheries (Over-Fishing Thresholds for Quota Management Stocks) Order 2001 to set over-fishing thresholds for North Island long-finned and short-finned freshwater eels.

Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
