Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations 2005

Note

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.

Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

  • These regulations come into force on 30 June 2005.

3 Schedule 1 amended

  • Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by inserting in the item relating to the Fisheries (Southland and Sub-Antarctic Areas Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1991 (SR 1991/57), in their appropriate order, the following items:

    r 3A(4) Taking or possessing blue cod in Milford or Doubtful Sounds contrary to the regulations 250
    r 4AA(5) Taking or possessing more than the daily limit of fish, but not more than 2 times the daily limit 250
    r 4AA(5) Taking or possessing more than 2 times the daily limit of fish, but not more than 3 times the daily limit 500
    r 4AAB(3) Possessing, using, or setting dahn lines, rock lobster pots, dredges, set nets, or blue cod pots contrary to the regulations 250

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 30 June 2005, amend the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001 by prescribing new infringement offences and infringement fees for the purposes of the Fisheries (Southland and Sub-Antarctic Areas Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1991.
