Pursuant to section 7 of the Tariff Act 1988, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Tariff (Less Developed Countries and Least Developed Countries) Order 2005.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 April 2005.

3 Less developed countries

Each of the countries named in Schedule 1 is a less developed country for the purposes of the Tariff Act 1988.

4 Least developed countries

Each of the countries named in Schedule 2 is a least developed country for the purposes of the Tariff Act 1988.

5 Countries ceasing to be less developed countries

Each of the countries named in Schedule 3 ceases to be a less developed country for the purposes of the Tariff Act 1988.

6 Revocation

The Tariff (Less Developed Countries and Least Developed Countries) Order 2001 (SR 2001/108) is revoked.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Tariff (Less Developed Countries and Least Developed Countries) Order 2005 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
