Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2005
Note
These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Fisheries.
Pursuant to sections 186 and 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title

(1) These regulations are the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2005.
(2) In these regulations, the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 19991 are called
“the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 March 2006.
3 Relationship between these regulations and other regulations
Regulation 4(2) of the principal regulations is amended by omitting the words
“regulation 27 of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 applies”
, and substituting the words“regulations 27 and 27A of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 apply”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 March 2006, amend regulation 4(2) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999 to refer to regulation 27A of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 (as inserted by the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2005).
