Local Government Elected Members Amendment Determination 2005

Pursuant to clause 6 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to section 19 of the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination.

1 Title

  • (1) This determination is the Local Government Elected Members Amendment Determination 2005.

    (2) In this determination, the Local Government Elected Members Determination 20051 is called “the principal determination”.

2 Commencement

  • This determination is deemed to have come into force in respect of each local authority referred to in clause 3 on the day on which the principal determination came into force in respect of that local authority.

3 Schedule 2 amended

  • (1) The item headed Manukau City Council in Schedule 2 of the principal determination is amended by omitting the expression “$134,437” from line 1 of the second column, and substituting the expression “$137,437”.

    (2) The item headed North Shore City Council in Schedule 2 of the principal determination is amended by omitting the expression “4 November 2004” from line 2 of the third column, and substituting the expression “20 October 2004”.

Explanatory memorandum

This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This determination corrects 2 minor errors in the Local Government Elected Members Determination 2005. The corrections relate to the amount of the annual salary of the Mayor of the Manukau City Council and the effective date for payment of the annual salary of the Deputy Mayor of the North Shore City Council.
