Pursuant to section 140 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1986, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Residential Tenancies Regulations Revocation Order 2010.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on 1 October 2010.
3 Revocation
The Residential Tenancies Regulations 1998 (SR 1998/256) are revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on 1 October 2010, revokes the Residential Tenancies Regulations 1998. The revoked regulations mainly set out prescribed forms. The regulatory forms have been superseded by the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2010, which also comes into force on 1 October 2010 and requires forms under the Residential Tenancies Act 1986 to be approved by the chief executive of the Department of Building and Housing. The approved forms will be available on the Department’s Internet site.
