    At Wellington this 19th day of February 2007

Pursuant to section 324 of the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title

  • These regulations are the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Amendment Regulations 2007.

2 Commencement

  • These regulations come into force on 1 April 2007.

4 Specified treatment providers' costs

  • Regulation 17(3)(a) is amended by omitting “$49.00” and substituting “$61.57”.

5 Schedule amended

  • The item relating to TMT in the Schedule is amended by omitting “19.48” and substituting “24.48”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 April 2007, amend the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 by increasing the contributions payable by the Accident Compensation Corporation for the costs of treatment provided by specified treatment providers.

Specified treatment provider is defined in regulation 3 of the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 to mean an acupuncturist, chiropractor, occupational therapist, osteopath, physiotherapist, podiatrist, or speech therapist.
