Preamble
At Wellington this 3rd day of December 2007
Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Takeovers Amendment Act 2006, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
1 Title
This order is the Takeovers Amendment Act 2006 Commencement Order 2007.
2 Commencement of remaining provisions of Takeovers Amendment Act 2006

(1) New sections 44B to 44E of the Takeovers Act 1993 as inserted by section 24 of the Takeovers Amendment Act 2006 come into force on 29 February 2008.
(2) Section 29 of the Takeovers Amendment Act 2006 comes into force on 29 February 2008.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
The Takeovers Amendment Act 2006 (the Amendment Act) came into force in 2006 except for new sections 44B to 44E of the Takeovers Act 1993 as inserted by section 24 of the Amendment Act and section 29 of the Amendment Act, which were to come into force on a date to be appointed by Order in Council. This order now brings those remaining provisions into force on 29 February 2008.
