Local Government Elected Members Determination (No 2) 2007 Amendment Determination (No 2) 2008
Pursuant to clause 6 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to section 19 of the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).

Determination
1 Title
This determination is the Local Government Elected Members Determination (No 2) 2007 Amendment Determination (No 2) 2008.
2 Commencement
This determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal determination amended
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members Determination (No 2) 2007.
4 Schedule 1 amended

(1) The item relating to Hawke's Bay Regional Council in Schedule 1 is amended with effect from 28 March 2008 by omitting
“105,271”
and substituting“101,486”
.(2) The item relating to Northland Regional Council in Schedule 1 is amended by omitting the item relating to Chair and substituting the following item:
Chair 95,101 10 March 2008 (3) The item relating to Taranaki Regional Council in Schedule 1 is amended by omitting the item relating to Chair and substituting the following item:

5 Schedule 2 amended

6 Schedule 2: meeting fees amended

(1) The item relating to meeting fees in the item relating to Clutha District Council is amended with effect from 23 October 2007 by omitting
“$52,000”
and substituting“$64,690”
.(2) The item relating to meeting fees in the item relating to Taupo District Council is amended with effect from 23 October 2007 by—
(a) omitting
“$100”
and substituting“$130”
; and
(b) omitting
“$54,000”
and substituting“$63,400”
.

Explanatory memorandum
This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members Determination (No 2) 2007. Although the determination comes into force only on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, the amendments all have retrospective effect.
The amendments in clauses 4 and 5 are as a result of either a change in the use of the car provided by the relevant council for the Mayor or a new vehicle being assigned for private use from the dates shown.
The amendments in clause 6 are a result of unspent meeting fees for the 2006/07 year being carried forward to 2007/08.
