Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, revokes part or all of a number of telecommunications network operator orders. The effect of the revocations is that the following entities cease to be declared network operators for the purposes of the Telecommunications Act 2001:

• Defcon Corporation Limited:

• Globalstar New Zealand Limited:

• Orbitel Communications Limited:

• Satnet (NZ) Limited:

• Superway New Zealand Limited:

• Taupo Cablevision Inc Limited:

• The Internet Group Limited.
