1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Amendment Notice 2008.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 31 March 2008.

3 Application

This notice applies on and from the fishing year commencing on 1 April 2008.

4 Principal notice amended

This notice amends the Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Notice 1999.

5 Schedule amended

The fourth column of the Schedule is amended by—

(a)

omitting “120.200” and substituting “123.880”; and

(b)

omitting “755.200” and substituting “966.000”.

6 Revocation

The following notices are revoked:

(a)

Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Amendment Notice 2004 (SR 2004/75):

(b)

Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Amendment Notice 2006 (SR 2006/78).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 31 March 2008, amends the Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Notice 1999. The amendments increase the total allowable commercial catch for spiny rock lobster for—

the Otago quota management area from 120.200 to 123.880 tonnes; and
the Southern quota management area from 755.200 to 966.000 tonnes.

The increases apply on and from the fishing year commencing on 1 April 2008.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Fisheries (Rock Lobster Total Allowable Commercial Catches) Amendment Notice 2008 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
