Pursuant to section 123 of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the District Courts Fees Amendment Regulations (No 3) 2014.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 January 2015.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the District Courts Fees Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 3 amended (Application)
-
(1) In regulation 3(2)(a)(v), replace
“; or”
with“:”
.(2) After regulation 3(2)(a)(v), insert:
“(vi) the Victims’ Orders Against Violent Offenders Act 2014; or”.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 January 2015, amend the District Courts Fees Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations).
Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended to include a reference to the Victims’ Orders Against Violent Offenders Act 2014. The effect of this is that applications under that Act are exempt from the requirement to pay fees under the principal regulations.
