1 Title

This order is the Diplomatic Privileges (OECD) Amendment Order 2009.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 26 November 2009.

3 Principal order amended

This order amends the Diplomatic Privileges (OECD) Order 2000.

4 Heading above clause 13 amended

The heading above clause 13 is amended by omitting “governments” and substituting “Governments”.

5 Privileges and immunities of representatives of member Governments

(1) The heading to clause 13 is amended by omitting “governments” and substituting “Governments”.
(2) Clause 13(1) is amended—
- (a) by omitting “governments” and substituting “Governments”; and
- (b) by omitting “accredited to” and substituting “on any organ of”.
(3) Clause 13(2) is amended by omitting “governments” and substituting “Governments”.

(4) Clause 13(3) is amended by omitting “government” and substituting “Government”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 26 November 2009 and is not in force in Tokelau, is made under the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968. It amends an order made in 2000 and relating to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The amendments align the wording of clause 13 of the 2000 order with that of section 9(1) and (2)(b)(i) of that Act.
