Pursuant to section 2 of the Corrections Amendment Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

This order is the Corrections Amendment Act 2009 Commencement Order 2009.
2 Commencement of Corrections Amendment Act 2009
The Corrections Amendment Act 2009 comes into force on 3 April 2009.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings the Corrections Amendment Act 2009 into force on 3 April 2009.
That Act makes a number of amendments to the Corrections Act 2004 that are intended to improve the operations of the corrections system.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 2 April 2009.
