Pursuant to section 20 of the Road User Charges Act 1977, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Road User Charges (Rates) Order 2010.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 October 2010.

Road User Charges (Rates) Order 2010: confirmed, on 27 November 2010, by section 14(a) of the Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Act 2010 (2010 No 127).

3 Interpretation

In this order, unless the context otherwise requires, Act means the Road User Charges Act 1977.

4 Rates of charges for distance licences increased

The rates of road user charges specified in Part 1 of Schedule 3 of the Act for distance licences are increased to the corresponding rates specified in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of this order.

5 Rates of charges for supplementary licences increased

The rates of road user charges specified in Part 2 of Schedule 3 of the Act for supplementary licences are increased to the corresponding rates specified in Part 2 of Schedule 1 of this order.

6 Fees inclusive of GST

The rates referred to in clauses 4 and 5 are inclusive of goods and services tax.

7 Altered tables of rates

Clause 7: revoked, on 15 October 2010, by clause 7(1) of the Road User Charges (Rates) Order (No 2) 2010 (SR 2010/287).

8 Revocation

The Road User Charges (Rates) Order 2009 (SR 2009/220) is revoked.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Road User Charges (Rates) Order 2010 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
