Pursuant to section 297(1) of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

1 Title
These regulations are the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2010.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 16 December 2010.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001.
4 Schedule 1 amended
The item in Schedule 1 relating to the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 is amended by inserting the item set out in the Schedule of these regulations in its appropriate numerical order.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 16 December 2010, amend Schedule 1 of the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001.
The amendment prescribes a new infringement offence for the purpose of regulation 3C of the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986, which relates to the taking or possessing of sand flounder less than 25 cm in length in the Challenger Fishery Management Area.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Fisheries.
