Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations 2011

Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations 2011.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 April 2011.
3 Principal regulations amended
These regulations amend the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001.
4 Schedule 1 amended
-
(1) This regulation amends the part of Schedule 1 relating to the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 (SR 1986/224).
(2) The item set out in Part 1 of the Schedule of these regulations is inserted before the first item relating to regulation 2B(8).
(3) The item relating to regulation 2C is omitted and the item set out in Part 2 of the Schedule of these regulations is substituted.
(4) The item relating to regulation 2E is omitted and the items set out in Part 3 of the Schedule of these regulations are substituted.
(5) The item set out in Part 4 of the Schedule of these regulations is inserted after the item relating to regulation 4.
(6) The item set out in Part 5 of the Schedule of these regulations is inserted after the item relating to regulation 4AC.
(7) The item relating to regulation 4F(2) is omitted.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations are the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Amendment Regulations 2011. They amend the part of Schedule 1 of the Fisheries (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2001 that relates to the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 (the amateur fishing regulations).
The amendments update and add infringement offences to reflect amendments made to the amateur fishing regulations by the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2011.
These regulations come into force on 1 April 2011.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 3 March 2011.
These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Fisheries.
