Pursuant to section 2(2) of the Copyright Amendment Act 2011, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Copyright Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011.
2 Commencement of certain provisions of Copyright Amendment Act 2011
Sections 4, 6, 10, and 12 of the Copyright Amendment Act 2011 come into force on 7 October 2011.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 7 October 2011, sections 4, 6, 10, and 12 of the Copyright Amendment Act 2011. The provisions being brought into force—
insert new Part 6A of the Copyright Act 1994 (the Act), relating to the appointment, functions, and powers of enforcement officers:
insert new sections 144 to 144I of the Act, relating to the enforcement powers of Customs officers:
make associated changes to provisions of the Act that deal with matters of interpretation and protection from liability of persons acting under the authority of the Act.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 6 October 2011.
This order is administered by the Ministry of Economic Development.
