Pursuant to Part 6 of the Health Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Anthrax Prevention Regulations Revocation Order 2011.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Anthrax Prevention Regulations 1987 revoked
The Anthrax Prevention Regulations 1987 (SR 1987/345) are revoked.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, revokes the Anthrax Prevention Regulations 1987. Those regulations are no longer required because they have been superseded by import health standards issued under section 22 of the Biosecurity Act 1993 (which specify the requirements to be met for the effective management of risks associated with the importation of risk goods).
