Pursuant to section 2(2) of the District Courts Amendment Act 2011, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the District Courts Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011.
2 Commencement of specified sections of District Courts Amendment Act 2011
Sections 9, 40, 41, and 44(1) of the District Courts Amendment Act 2011 come into force on 13 February 2012.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings specified sections of the District Courts Amendment Act 2011 into force on 13 February 2012.
The sections that are brought into force—
align with amendments in the Crimes Amendment Act (No 2) 2011 to allow fines imposed by the High Court to be enforced by the District Court under Part 3 of the Summary Proceedings Act 1957, subject to specified modifications; and
amend the sections of the District Courts Act 1947 relating to rules and regulations.

1 General
This is a consolidation of the District Courts Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
