Pursuant to section 2 of the Privacy Amendment Act 2011, Her Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.
Order
1 Title
This order is the Privacy Amendment Act 2011 Commencement Order 2011.
2 Commencement of specified sections of Privacy Amendment Act 2011
Sections 3 and 4 of the Privacy Amendment Act 2011 come into force on 13 February 2012.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings specified sections of the Privacy Amendment Act 2011 into force on 13 February 2012.
The sections that are brought into force mainly relate to definitions in section 103(5) of the Privacy Act 1993. Only section 5 of the Privacy Amendment Act 2011 and the Schedule of that Act (which amends Schedule 5 of the Privacy Act 1993) await a commencement date.
