Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection (Olympic and Commonwealth Games Emblems and Words) Order 2005: revoked, on 12 May 2011, by clause 3 of the Regulatory Reform (Revocations) Order 2011 (SR 2011/99).

This order is administered by the Ministry for Culture and Heritage.
Pursuant to section 26A of the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

Order
1 Title
This order is the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection (Olympic and Commonwealth Games Emblems and Words) Order 2005.
2 Commencement
This order comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Part 1 of Schedule 2A amended
Part 1 of Schedule 2A of the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981 is amended by adding—
(a) the emblem
“The New Zealand Commonwealth Youth Games Emblem”
set out in Schedule 1 of this order; and
(b) the emblem
“The New Zealand Youth Olympic Festival Emblem”
set out in Schedule 1 of this order; and
(c) the emblem
“The Commonwealth Games Federation Emblem”
set out in Schedule 1 of this order.
4 Part 2 of Schedule 2A amended
5 New Part 3 of Schedule 2A substituted

(1) Schedule 2A of the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981 is amended by revoking Part 3, and substituting the Part 3 set out in Schedule 2 of this order.
(2) Part 3 of Schedule 2A of the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981, as substituted by this order, expires on 30 June 2009.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette, amends the Flags, Emblems, and Names Protection Act 1981 (the Act), by—
adding 3 new emblems to Part 1 of Schedule 2A of the Act (clause 3; Schedule 1):
inserting 2 new names in Part 2 of Schedule 2A of the Act (clause 4):
revoking Part 3 of Schedule 2A of the Act and substituting a new Part 3 (clauses 1 to 4 of Part 3 expired on 30 June 2005) (clause 5(1); Schedule 2).
The substituted Part 3 of Schedule 2A of the Act expires on 30 June 2009 (clause 5(2)).
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
Date of notification in Gazette: 15 December 2005.
