Pursuant to sections 400 and 402 of the Immigration Act 2009, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Immigration (Carriers' Information Obligations) Amendment Regulations 2012.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2012.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Immigration (Carriers' Information Obligations) Regulations 2010.
4 Regulation 4 amended
After regulation 4(2)(i), insert:
“(j) type of travel document.”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations add the type of travel document to the information that a carrier of a person to New Zealand must obtain from the person. The regulations come into force on 1 July 2012.

Date of notification in Gazette: 31 May 2012.
