Pursuant to sections 167 and 168 of the Land Transport Act 1998, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Land Transport (Driver Licensing and Driver Testing Fees) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2012.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on the day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Land Transport (Driver Licensing and Driver Testing Fees) Regulations 1999 (the principal regulations).

4 Schedule amended

In the Schedule, Part 7, after the item 1A, insert:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on the day after their notification in the Gazette, amend the Land Transport (Driver Licensing and Driver Testing Fees) Regulations 1999 (the principal regulations). These regulations reinstate the fee for a limited licence, which was inadvertently revoked by a consequential amendment to the principal regulations by the Land Transport (Road Safety and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2011.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Land Transport (Driver Licensing and Driver Testing Fees) Amendment Regulations (No 2) 2012 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
