This notice is administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to sections 186K and 186ZE of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Director Fisheries Management, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries under the State Sector Act 1988, gives the following notice.

Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Registers) Notice 2012.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
3 Interpretation
In this notice,—
Act means the Fisheries Act 1996
FishServe means Commercial Fisheries Services Limited
registers means—
(a) the Fish Farmer Register required to be kept under section 186K of the Act; and
(b) the register of aquaculture agreements, register of pre-request aquaculture agreements, and register of compensation declarations required to be kept under section 186ZE of the Act.
4 Location of registers
The registers must be located at the offices of FishServe, situated at Level 6, Eagle Technology House, 135 Victoria Street, Wellington.
5 Hours of inspection
The registers must be open for inspection by the public from 8.30 am until 4.30 pm on any day except—
(a) a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign's birthday, and Labour Day; and
(b) a public holiday observed in Wellington; and
(c) a day in the period beginning on 25 December in a year and ending on 2 January the following year; and
(d) if 1 January falls on a Friday, the following Monday; and
(e) if 1 January falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday and Tuesday.
6 Revocation
The following notices are revoked:
(a) the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Fish Farmer Register) Notice 2007 (SR 2007/237):
(b) the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Aquaculture Agreements Register) Notice 2007 (SR 2007/238).

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette,—
revokes and combines into 1 notice the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Fish Farmer Register) Notice 2007 and the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Aquaculture Agreements Register) Notice 2007; and
includes references to the register of pre-request aquaculture agreements and register of compensation declarations as provided for in the Fisheries Amendment Act 2011.
