Fisheries (Central Area Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2012: revoked, on 1 February 2014, pursuant to regulation 161(1)(c) of the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations 2013 (SR 2013/482).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Pursuant to section 297 of the Fisheries Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Fisheries (Central Area Amateur Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2012.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 May 2012.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Fisheries (Central Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 2A amended (Interpretation)
In regulation 2A, definition of Central Fishery Management Area, replace
“fishery management area described as Fishery Management Area 2—Central (East)”
with“areas described as Fishery management area 2—Central (East) and Fishery management area 8—Central (Egmont), as described”
.
5 Regulation 3A amended (Maximum daily number of fish)
After regulation 3A(2), insert:
-
“(2A) No person may, on any day,—
“(a) take from within the Fishery management area 8—Central (Egmont), as defined in Schedule 1 of the Fisheries Act 1996, more than 10 blue cod; or
“(b) possess more than 10 blue cod in that area; or
“(c) possess more than 10 blue cod taken from within that area.

“(2B) No person may, on any day,—
“(a) take from within the Central Fishery Management Area more than 5 bluenose; or
“(b) possess more than 5 bluenose in that area; or
“(c) possess more than 5 bluenose taken from within that area.”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 May 2012, amend the Fisheries (Central Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986.
The amendments—
correct the description of Central Fishery Management Area; and
-
provide that—
10 is the maximum daily number of blue cod in relation to the Fishery management area 8—Central (Egmont); and
5 is the maximum daily number of bluenose in relation to the Central Fishery Management Area.
