Pursuant to section 324 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for ACC, makes the following regulations.

Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Accident Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Amendment Regulations 2013.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 19 June 2013.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the regulations that were previously called the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 (the principal regulations).
4 Name of principal regulations changed
-
(1) After the commencement of this regulation,—
(a) the principal regulations are called the Accident Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003; and
(b) a reference in another enactment or in a document to the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 must be read as a reference to the Accident Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003, unless the context requires otherwise.
(2) In regulation 1, replace

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 19 June 2013, amend the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation (Liability to Pay or Contribute to Cost of Treatment) Regulations 2003 (the principal regulations).
Regulation 4 amends the title of the principal regulations to reflect the name of the empowering Act.
increase the rates payable to medical practitioners (GPs) and combined GP/nurse rates by $5 (GST inclusive) per visit for children under 6 years old:
increase the rates payable for other specified consultations by 1.9%.
Regulation 12 and the Schedule—
reinstate items relating to counsellors' costs:
substitute updated procedures and rates for dentists' costs:
increase the amount payable for the item relating to TMT All treatment by 1.9%.
