Pursuant to section 27 of the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Act 2012, His Excellency the Governor-General makes the following regulations, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for the Environment given after the requirements of sections 32, 33, and 34 of that Act have been met.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects—Permitted Activities) Amendment Regulations 2013.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on the day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects—Permitted Activities) Regulations 2013 (the principal regulations).
4 Regulation 7 amended (Seismic surveys)
In regulation 7, replace
“2012”
with“2013”
.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on the day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, amend the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects—Permitted Activities) Regulations 2013 (the principal regulations).
Regulation 7 of the principal regulations is amended to reflect the fact that the 2012 Code of Conduct for Minimising Acoustic Disturbance to Marine Mammals from Seismic Survey Operations was revised in 2013.
