Pursuant to section 2(2) and (4) of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following order.

1 Title
This order is the Search and Surveillance Act Commencement Order 2013.
2 Commencement of certain provisions of Search and Surveillance Act 2012 on 1 September 2013
The following provisions of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 come into force on 1 September 2013:
(a) section 302; and
(b) the item in the Schedule relating to the Tax Administration Act 1994.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force—
section 302 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 (the Act), which amends the Tax Administration Act 1994; and
the item in the Schedule of the Act that relates to the Tax Administration Act 1994.
No other provision of the Act remains to be brought into force.
Issued under the authority of the Acts and Regulations Publication Act 1989.
