These regulations are made under sections 397 and 402 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.
Regulations
1 Title
These regulations are the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2024.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2024.
3 Principal regulations
These regulations amend the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Fees) Regulations 2013.
4 Regulation 13 amended (Other fees payable to ARLA)

In regulation 13(1), replace “$450”
with “$584.35”

Revoke regulation 13(2).
(3)
In regulation 13(3), replace “$50”
with “$65.11”

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2024, amend the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Fees) Regulations 2013 to increase,—
from $450 to $584.35, the fee payable for an appeal, under section 154 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, to the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority against a decision of a licensing committee:
from $50 to $65.11, the fee payable for obtaining, under section 65(2) of that Act, an extract from a register recording prescribed particulars relating to licences and managers’ certificates.
The fees are being adjusted to reflect increases in the New Zealand Consumers Price Index since they were last updated. The new fees do not include goods and services tax.
