Corrections (Tongariro Prison and Rangipo Prison) Notice 2014
Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Corrections (Tongariro Prison and Rangipo Prison) Notice 2014.
2 Commencement
This notice takes effect from 1 July 2014.
3 Tongariro Prison
The land described in Schedule 1 is declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Tongariro Prison.
4 Rangipo Prison
The land described in Schedule 2 is declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Rangipo Prison.
5 Revocation
The Penal Institutions (Tongariro Prison and Rangipo Prison) Notice (No 2) 1998 (SR 1998/453) is revoked.
Schedule 1 |
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land Registration District containing 4857.5476 hectares, more or less, being Part Section 1 Survey Office Plan 37156, and being all of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register WN 52D/545 (Wellington Land Registry).
Schedule 2 |
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land Registration District containing 198.6000 hectares, more or less, being Section 1 Survey Office Plan 37005, and being all of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register WN 44A/285 (Wellington Land Registry).
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land Registration District containing 1524.9786 hectares, more or less, being Part Section 1 Survey Office Plan 37006, and being all of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register 654352 (Wellington Land Registry).
All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land Registration District containing 1879.8355 hectares, more or less, being Part Section 2 and Section 3 Survey Office Plan 368598, and being all of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register 654353 (Wellington Land Registry).

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice takes effect from 1 July 2014. It declares the land described in Schedule 1 to be a prison to be known as Tongariro Prison. It declares the land described in Schedule 2 to be a prison to be known as Rangipo Prison. This notice revokes and replaces the Penal Institutions (Tongariro Prison and Rangipo Prison) Notice (No 2) 1998 to reflect reductions in the land area for Rangipo Prison following the disposal of land for roading on State Highway 1 and the exclusion of land for the Poutu Canal for the Tongariro Power Scheme.
