1 Title

This order is the Forests (Payment of Money) Order 2014.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

3 Payment of money not gross income of recipients

A payment of money made on the date specified in column 1 of the Schedule that is made in consideration of the entering into of a conservation covenant over specified Māori land described in column 2 of the Schedule is not, in accordance with section 21 of the Forests Amendment Act 2004, gross income of the recipients named in column 3 of the Schedule.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on the 28th day after its notification in the Gazette, is made under section 21 of the Forests Amendment Act 2004. The order specifies that a particular payment of money made in consideration of entering into a conservation covenant over specified Māori land is not gross income of the named recipients.
