This notice is administered by the Department of Corrections.
Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.
Notice
1 Title
This notice is the Corrections (Auckland Prison) Notice 2014.
2 Commencement
This notice takes effect from 2 October 2014.
3 Auckland Prison
The land and the parts of the buildings described in the Schedule are declared to be a corrections prison, to be known as Auckland Prison.
4 Revocation
The Corrections (Auckland Prison) Notice 2012 (SR 2012/173) is revoked.
Schedule Auckland Prison
All the following parcels of land and the following parts of buildings,—
(a)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 4.1581 hectares, more or less, being Lot 3 Deposited Plan 64525, and being the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register NA21B/219:
(b)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 21.2474 hectares, more or less, being Section 1 Survey Office Plan 66967 and Lot 4 Deposited Plan 24508, and being the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register NA100C/864:
(c)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 31.9155 hectares, more or less, being Section 1 Survey Office Plan 70641 and Part Allotment 681, Parish of Paremoremo, and being all the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register 663963:
(d)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 9 230 square metres, more or less, being Allotment 680, Parish of Paremoremo, and being all the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register NA102D/363:
(e)
all those parcels of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 37.8245 hectares, more or less, being Sections 2 & 3, Survey Office Plan 476557, and being part of the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register 662468:
(f)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 2 413 square metres, more or less, being Part Lot 10 Deposited Plan 59580, and being all the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register NA108D/38:
(g)
all that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 6 400 square metres, more or less, being Section 1 Survey Office Plan 66966, and being all the land comprised and described in Computer Freehold Register NA108D/127:
(h)
the cell block contained within the building complex known as the North Shore District Court situated on the land described in Computer Freehold Register NA128B/138:
(i)
the cell block contained within the building complex known as the Auckland High Court situated on the land described in Computer Freehold Register NA88C/879:
(j)
the cell block contained within the building complex known as the Auckland District Court situated on the land described in Computer Freehold Register NA60A/1051:
(k)
the cell block contained within the building complex known as the Manukau District Court situated on the land described in Computer Freehold Register NA88C/872.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice takes effect from 2 October 2014. It declares the land and parts of buildings described in the Schedule to be a prison known as Auckland Prison. This notice revokes and replaces the Corrections (Auckland Prison) Notice 2012 to reflect a reduction in the land area at Auckland Prison due to redevelopment works being undertaken on part of the prison site.
Date of notification in Gazette: 4 September 2014.
