These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment.

Pursuant to section 15 of the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Empowering) Act 2010, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister for Sport and Recreation, in compliance with section 15(2) of that Act, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Dissolution) Regulations 2014.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Dissolution of Rugby World Cup Authority

The date specified for the purposes of section 15(1) of the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Empowering) Act 2010 is the date on which these regulations come into force.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force 28 days after the date on which they are notified in the Gazette, specify the date on which the Rugby World Cup Authority (the Authority), established by the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Empowering) Act 2010 (the Act), is dissolved by that Act.

The effect of the regulations is that, on the date on which they come into force, the Authority is dissolved (by section 15(1) of the Act) and the Act is expired (by section 9(2)) of the Act.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Rugby World Cup 2011 (Dissolution) Regulations 2014 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.

2 Legal status

A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
